Semester finals are Dec. 20-22.  For many kids these tests are the make or break tests for a passing grade.  These tests can affect grades by a whole letter.  Students are starting to prepare for their tests to get a better grade.  But how do students of AHS prepare for their tests?

Sophomore Clayton Saeugling says that he has already started studying. He also said, “I’m pretty worried about a couple of them.”  Saeugling had no response when asked which classes he was most worried about.

Most teachers are also preparing their students for their semester tests such as Daniel Vargason’s and his spanish class.  The students in Vargason’s classes have been reviewing for the past week.

Freshman Katie Darrow took a semester test last year because she was in an advance math class, but this will be her first taking semester tests for all of he classes.  When asked what her feelings were towards the tests, she said, “I feel that all the stress we gain from the repeated lectures of teachers on their importance give them a whole different meaning.  Instead of thinking of it as your average test with more material, we’re faced with something that can possibly undo your entire semester.”  Many students feel the same way as her.

Semester test week will be filled with students preparing and studying.  The students at AHS will be buckling down for their tests before heading off to the holiday break.
