The AHSneedle is back live after being inactive for the summer. A few editors, with the help of Cooper Zablocki, have worked hard restoring the AHSneedle to its fullest! We have incorporated a new theme, easier navigation, and much more content awaiting your exploration!
Editors and journalists are excited to take off this year and write various new stories. The AHSneedle will be covering Homecoming, sporting events, the fall play, and much more. Our goal as a journalism department is to be the fastest and most accurate news site for our student body and faculty to follow.
Senior business editor Maren McNees said, “I’m looking forward to seeing stories especially with the new, young journalists!”
When asked about the new website Senior floating editor Travis Small commented that it looks a lot better, less confusing, and more categorization. Small is also looking forward to “having lots of good stories.” Journalism student Cooper Zablocki worked on the website over the summer and the beginning of the school year. He said that he “fixed it, added a new theme, and pulled out his hair.” Redesigning the website took time and patience but was a necessity to be the most easy, reliable news site to our school.
Senior Abby Robinson says that she reads AHSneedle to check up on news happening in our school. Robinson stated, “I like it cause it keeps you updated with student life.” English teacher Liz Huggins, “loves how it can be updated so quick and have fast stories within hours. I LOVE that.”
Our journalism department and editors can’t wait to share the stories, news, and experiences that will take place this year through AHSneedle!
