The (21-1) Atlantic Trojans will travel to Adel Thursday, Feb. 21, to face the (19-2) Creston Panthers for the second round of the 3A District 8 playoffs. The Trojans won their frist round against the ADM Tigers Tuesday night 63-43 and the Panthers won theirs against the Winterset Huskies 79-49 sending them to face-off at ADM High School. The winner of this game will head to the substate finals battling either the Harlan Cyclones or the Carroll Tigers.
Just this month, the Trojans defeated Creston, 47-38, on Feb. 8 for the Conference Championship. Earlier in the season, Trojans had their first win against Creston on Jan. 8 winning 47-40. The Trojans are 4-0 against the Panthers in the past two seasons and are on their way to 5-0.
