The annual Spaghetti Supper will be Monday, Feb. 4, and it will be served in the AHS commons. There is also a take-out option for people who can’t stay and eat there. The take-out boxes include a portion of spaghetti, salad, roll, and pie.
Tickets can be purchased from any student in band grades 7-12, or at the door on the day of the supper. Tickets are $6 for 12 and up, $4 for 5-11, and children ages 4 and under eat for free. According to band director Jarrod O’Donnell, there will be about 110 students participating/helping with the supper.
The supper is a fundraiser for the band trip, which is taken every four years. All of the money the students make from this fundraiser goes to the students to help lower the cost of the trip. Over a four-year period the band students make about $45,000.
O’Donnell said that because this is the first year after last summer’s trip to Disney World, the total may be a lower than the last two or three years. Last year the band students made just over $12,000 in profit.
