The PSAT/NMSQT exam will be given at Atlantic High School on Wednesday, October 17th from 8:00-11:00 in the Multi-Purpose Building. Strong academic juniors planning to attend a
4-year college may take this test. The PSAT is a good “practice” test for the SAT or the ACT. The NMSQT is the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. This is the only testing date and the only way to qualify to be a National Merit Scholarship finalist. Sophomores who take it will find that the experience may help them score higher as a junior; they will also start communication with colleges. The sign up sheet is in the guidance office. Tryouts for this year’s Fall Play Production are being held through Thursday this week both before and after school in Room 305. All interested students are welcome to try out. Tryouts will be completed on Thursday afternoon, and the cast list will be posted on Friday morning. Tryout materials are now available in Room 305. For more information, please see Mr. Shuman or check one of the tryout posters up in various locations around the building.

Study Table will meet in Mr. Shuman’s room today from 2-3:30 PM. Any student who is failing a class and is in an activity, must attend Study Table to remain eligible.

Student Support Services in the media center will offer an after school study session from 3:19 until 4:00 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this semester for students that need assistance with homework.
