With the holidays around the corner many AHS students are thinking about spending time with their family. Many student’s siblings are coming home for the holidays or starting their school break with the rest of us. There are also the students that don’t have any siblings to come home. Those would be the students that are lucky to be the only child in the family. People with siblings would say that an only child doesn’t get to experience life changes and challenges with someone they love. As an only child myself I believe that being an only child is great. As an only child you get more attention. Being an only child you get more presents on your birthday and during the holidays. You also don’t have to receive or pass on hand-me-downs. Being an only child comes with many awesome perks. Siblings may be nice but I’d rather stay an only child.
