New machines in the Bair’s den

By Austen Farver
When walking down the five hundred hallway, you may notice some new machines in Derek Bair’s room. The machines are going to be used for a wood working class that will begin next year.
Bair says he hopes to get a good attendance of kids wanting to be in the wood working class. He says there will be a limit of 15 kids per class. When asked if he will attend the class next year, junior Stuart Hoegh says, “Seeing that there is new equipment, and that I enjoy Mr. Bair’s class. Yes, I will attend the classes next year.”
Bair said he is looking for students who will make the most of the experience. “The people I want for the class are just positive, fun loving people.”
As students are signing up for classes, Bair wants to remind them to take Introduction to Construction before taking Wood Processing.  Bair says he wants the kids to have a basic understanding of construction before working with the tools. Sophomore Zac Nelson said, “Intro. to Construction was a fun and easy class. It isn’t too hard at all.”
New lathes in Bair's room will be used to teach wood-processing classes next year.
