TWIRP has come and has gone again. New theme, new music, and more importantly, a new DJ.
AJ Richter was the DJ at TWIRP, his first actual performance blasting tunes for dancers. His debut received positive reviews from his peers.
According to senior Zack Smith, Richter “played a lot of good music no one has heard before.”
Other students agreed. Senior Rob Nichols said, “AJ did a better job than any previous DJ. The songs were really good.”
“It was awesome!” exclaimed junior Miranda Yarrington.
“AJ was fantastic, he played great music.” said sophomore Jez Phippen.
In regard to his own performance AJ has this to say: “It went pretty good.”
Richter’s success at TWIRP has led to more music opportunities. He has been asked by Walnut to perform at their prom.
“Im not sure if I’ll play. They gave me an offer but they don’t know who will play.”
AJ considers DJ work to be an hobby, rather than a career goal.
It’s going to take a lot for the next DJ to surpass AJ apparently.
