The Tuesday, Feb. 21 Sports section (page 3C) of the Omaha World-Herald stated that the Trojans were defeated by the Red Oak Tigers on Monday night. Any one who attended the game, read the Atlantic News-Telegraph, or read Anthony Robinson’s article on AHSneedle.com knows that the Trojans beat Red Oak to advance to the district final Thursday.
The box score (minus the total scores) reflects that the Trojans beat the Tigers, but the quick write-up states that “Red Oak defeated Atlantic 47-40 in Iowa high school boys basketball on Monday.”
Later in the Sports section, on the Scoreboard (page 6C) the World-Herald has the correct information saying that Atlantic beat Red Oak 47-40.
