Study abroad for high school students

by Malachi Wickman

After school Thursday, January 26, there will be an informational meeting held in the media center for sophomore and junior students interested in traveling abroad this summer.

The Experiment in International Living is a program designed for high school students to experience the culture of another country. The program has been sending American students to 27 different countries for 76 years. There are many different programs varying in focus, location, and length. A previous southwest Iowa graduate gives scholarships to help students cover the cost of the trips.

Seniors Aaron Buboltz, Marissa Berns, Liz Davidson, and Malachi Wickman traveled abroad last summer through the experiment and will be attending the meeting to answer questions. All interested sophomore and junior students are invited to attend and bring their parents.

If you are interested but cannot attend the meeting, contact Mr. Fredin for more information.
