This year the choir will host a fund-raising holiday celebration dinner open to the public on Dec. 3 and 4 at 7 p.m. The Madrigal Dinner is a Renaissance-themed performance that combines music, acting, and food for a night of fun. Students in Luke Johnson’s vocal music classes grades 9-12 will perform throughout the evening while guests are served a meal prepared by the Foods class under the direction of Merle Hopper-Henningsen.
Tickets will be sold the week of Nov 7-16 in the commons before and after school and at lunch. The tickets are $20 per person, and only 150 tickets are available per night.
Sophomore Bailey Walter said she will play the role of a beggar. She will play an instrument called boom-whacker and beg people for money.
Reid Nichols, a freshman, will be a knight. He said he will perform a dance-type performance with tinickling sticks.
Sophomore Dillon Cox will also play the part of a knight. He will sing and present food.
Harrison Richter, a freshman, will perform unicycling and juggling tricks.Sophomore Krisin Johnk will be a narrator for the play. She will also sing in the choir.
