The week is over and the NHS Food Drive has come to an end.  Below are the point totals of the 3rd period classes that donated food.  The top three classes will receive their official prizes soon. (For more information on official prizes click here.) An unofficial prize for Ms. Berryhill’s 3rd period journalism class is that they are also the winners of the “Sam Johnson Food Drive Challenge.” More details on that at a later date.  Now for the point totals:

1st Place:  JOURNALISM (teacher Ms. Berryhill) – 1067.5 pts.

2nd Place:  CALCULUS (teacher Ms. Hayden) – 1012 pts.

3rd Place: HISTORY (teacher Terry Hinzman) – 273 pts.

Mr. Wiley – 174 pts.

Ms. Huggins – 93 pts.

Mr. Shuman – 92 pts.

Mr. Petersen – 76.5 pts.

Mr. Huey – 74 pts.

Ms. Hobson – 23 pts.

Mrs. Jenkins – 14 pts.

Mrs. Ross – 12 pts.

National Honor Society extends a huge thank you to all those who brought food to donate. The estimated cost of the food donated was between $3000-$4000.  Even though we had a good competition between our classes, the real winner was the food pantry, who received two vehicle loads of food.  Once again thanks to all for your generous contributions.
