On Saturday, Feb. 12, the Iowa Sate University Great Plains Math League Math Competition took place. Marissa Berns, an AHS junior, placed second in the Target Round. Mark Stinn, eighth grade, placed first in the Sprint Round and third in the Target Round. Corey Sunderman, freshman, placed third in the Target Round. Taylor Berns, eighth grade; Frankie Jones, sophomore; and Skylar Irhke, freshman, also attended. Marissa Berns, Stinn, and Sunderman qualified for state. The team received 58.5 points overall.
