Yesterday, April 24, the Trojan tennis teams competed against the Harlan Cyclones. The boy’s defeated the Cyclones 7-2, while the girls lost to the Cyclones 2-7.

In singles, junior Grant Podhajsky fell 7-10, junior Cooper McDermott won 10-3, junior Luke Hohenberger lost 8-10, freshman Nile Petersen won 10-2, junior Kalob Flory won 10-6, and senior Caleb Williams won 10-4.

In doubles, Podhajsky and McDermott came away with yet another win of 10-5, Hohenberger and Petersen won 11-9, and Flory and Williams won 10-4.

On the girls’ side, number one Jena Brosam fell 6-8, number two Heather Freund lost 2-8, number three Carly Westphalen came away with the only singles win of the night at 8-1, number four Emma Templeton lost 4-8, number five Ashley Freund lost in tiebreak 10-11, and number six Hana Holtz fell 5-8,

In doubles, Brosam and Templeton came away with another victory of 8-5, Westphalen and A. Freund lost 2-8, and H. Freund and Holtz lost 5-8.

The teams’ next meet is today, April 25, against Audubon.
