Q:  What is the MICAH House?

A:  The MICAH House is a homeless shelter in Council Bluffs.  It houses families and single women.

Q:  Why did you start the donation box?

A:  I am in independent study second semester and I needed a specific study, so I decided to have a project-based-study on donations.

Q:  What is your goal?

A:  I don’t really have a goal. I just wanted people from school to bring in clothes and feel like they helped people in need.

Q:  How are you going to transport the items to the MICAH House?

A: I am taking all the bags from the library home, once the donation process is over. Then I will get in my van and take them over to the MICAH house.

Q: What is the deadline to bring in items for donation?

A:  It was Feb. 4, but because of the snow days I am extending it until Feb 10.

Q: Any other comments you would like to give?

A: After this there is going to be a canned-food drive and various other projects, and at the end of the semester I am planning on having a volunteer project set up.
