The Atlantic girls varsity basketball team took on the Creston Panthers Monday, Feb. 6 in the Atlantic High School gymnasium. The trojans at 1-18 were searching for the second win of the season against the 8-11 panthers.

The game was close throughout but that panthers big second quarter helped them pull away with the 62-53 win. Senior Catherine Leonard led the trojans again recording 19 points while freshman Mckenzie Waters recorded 9. Not far behind was Sophomore Baylee Newell dropping 8. Leonard also led the team again with 10 rebounds which adds to another team leading total of 201 rebounds.

The Trojans will take on the Clarinda Cardinals in their final regular season game tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Atlantic Middle School. Tip off for the game is set for 4:30 p.m.
