Pink Out Tonight

Tonight, Jan. 6, at 7:30 p.m. the Atlantic varsity girls will be wearing pink jerseys, the cheerleaders will wear pink bows, and the student sections will be decked out in pink clothes. Every season each team plays a Pink Out game supporting Breast Cancer.

Breast cancer is a disease where cancer cells form in the tissues of the breast. One in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. It is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women.

“I like pink out because it spreads awareness and it’s a fun activity for the students to participate in,” sophomore Taylor Hansen said.

During halftime the cheerleaders will be going around the crowd and collecting money towards breast cancer awareness. “I like Pink Out because we get to raise money for a good cause,” senior Kerra Christensen said. Dance Atlantic will also be performing their routine for the Atlantic crowd during halftime.
