Entrance to the 2016 AHS Haunted House

This past weekend, the band and choir students really showed their scary side in the Haunted House. On Friday and Saturday nights, Atlantic High School hosted the haunted house that was created by senior Hunter Oliver. These two students thought of this idea to help fundraise money for the spring musical of 2017. The goal set for how much they wanted to make was at least $1000 but ended up making $1212. All $1212 will be used to create extra props for the musical.

The haunted house lived up to Oliver’s expectations, “It was more than I had planned for it to be!”

Students who attended the haunted house shared some interesting comments. Junior Cora Zikuda said, “I really liked it. I don’t think it was worth $5 for how short it was, but it was still really good. It was pretty scary.”

Senior Megan Behrends said, “I was scared out of my mind and I don’t like scary things but I went to support the musical.”

For right now, the music department is unsure if there will be another haunted house next year, but when when asked if they would go again, all the students said yes.
