The Trojans suffered another loss last Friday, Sept. 16, when the team traveled to Winterset.

The Huskies started off the night strong with their first touchdown early in the first quarter, leading the Trojans 7-0.

By the end of the first half the Trojans were trailing by another touchdown, 14-0.

Winterset then extended their lead to 17-0 with a 42-yard field goal at the beginning of the third quarter.

In the end of the third, quarterback Jaxson Eden passed to wide receiver Chase Mullenix for a 28-yard touchdown, closing the gap to 10 points, 7-17.

By the fourth quarter the Trojans were still down by 10 until a Winterset interception led to a touchdown, advancing the score 24-7.

The 1-3 Trojans fell to the Huskies 24-7.

Head coach Mike McDermott said, “I thought we played together the whole time. The only disappointing thing of the night was our defense the very first drive. We found a way to give us a chance and stay in the game.”

The Trojans’ next game is this Friday, Sept. 23, at Creston.
