Last Saturday, the Trojans had their first meet of the year in Glenwood. The Trojans were victorious, boys placing 1st and girls taking home 3rd.

The two teams combined for the lowest score, therefore being crowned the co-ed champions. This is the first time in ten years that Atlantic has won the co-ed meet.

Sophomore Ashley Wendt placed 2nd overall with a time of 20:53.

“ I saw very good things, and great effort from both varsity and jv,” said head coach Paul Iekel. Iekel also said it was a good start to the season, and they have improved since last year.

The girls will run their next meet on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at Clarinda High School.
