The dodgeball tournament scheduled for this coming Saturday has been cancelled due to a numbers issue, AHS Fuel advisor Daniel Vargason said. ”We Didn’t get enough teams to sign up.”

Only one team signed up: “White Choc,” consisting of Mitchell Ginther, Eric Wieser, Sam Coder, Josh McLean, Jake Redler, Dustin Rudolph, Clayton Saeugling, Gratt Reed, David Thompson and Trevor Wendt.

The tournament was going to be held at the high school before it was cancelled. AHS fuel was going to hold this event. The winners by default were White Choc. White Choc team captain Mitchell Ginther said, “We won because we put in the most work in the registration process.”

Some students were not aware of the tournament. “I didn’t hear about it,” said Karsyn Rush when asked why she didn’t participate.  Senior Darien Mills said she was not aware of it either. Would she have organized a team if she’d known about it? “Maybe,” said Mills.

AHS Fuel member Bailey Schildberg said she thinks it is unlikely that we will have another big event like Dodgeball. “One, it’s getting close to the end of the year. Two, I think Vargason is getting tired of students not participating in activities we try hard to make happen.”
