The School Board meeting on March 30 was one of the ‘fastest” board meetings AHS Principal Heather McKay has ever been to.  There were four things on the agenda for the night and they went over quickly.  

McKay said there was no discussion about the resignations or hires, they were just approved as they were presented.  High school Industrial tech teacher Derek Bair’s resignation was approved.  AMS teacher Marnie Lieferman’s request to transfer to sixth grade Language Arts/Reading was approved.  AMS teacher Mike McDermott was hired as the head varsity football coach.  Lastly, Jedd Sherman was hired as the HS Chemistry/Physics teacher for the upcoming school year.
