Last spring the girls’ golf team had another superb season, finishing their year with a second place finish at the State Tournament.

One golfer that stood out for the Trojans was Erin Olsen, who is is going into her last golf season this spring and is looking to help the Trojans get another state title. Olsen was a sophomore when the Trojans won the class 3A state championship.

When asked how she thought she did last season Olsen was very positive. “I thought I played good in some meets, and not so good in others” said Olsen.

Although the Trojans were the runner-up last year at the state tournament, Olsen thought it was her best year from an individual standpoint. Putting is the one thing she said she needed to work on the most.

Olsen’s overall goals for the team and herself are to make it back to state, and be able to help the team anyway she can.

Her thoughts on the team this year are very good because the Trojans are returning all their golfers as well as gaining a few freshman. Olsen and the rest of the Trojans are looking to have another big season and hopefully get another state title.
