In chemistry matter changes, but in the AHS chemistry lab, there is about to be a change that matters. Chemistry teacher Nancy Jenkins is retiring after teaching in the district for 25 years.

Her plans after retirement are to do some traveling and spend time with her family, which includes her husband Don, kids, Amy Bisenius (39), Alan Jenkins (31), Angie Jenkins (29), Emily Jenkins (26), and Grandkids Brody (9), Brock (5), Brayden (3).

One thing that Jenkins won’t miss about her everyday routine is having to get up at 4:30 a.m. to workout. When Jenkins looks back on her teaching career she said,”I will never forget about the kids, they made it so much fun, very rarely did a day go by that you guys didn’t crack me up.”
