Freshman Jordan Zarbano, the highest male archery shooter, has been shooting bows since he was 3-years-old. “Even though Jordan is a freshman, he has experience that most archers do not. He has been shooting from a young age and is confident in his ability to shoot,” Coach Justin Williams said. Zarbano shoots everyday, for about 4 hours a day, he also shoots out side of archery with his own bow and target. His highest score in high school archery was a 290, the best you can get is a 300. His plans are to shoot all through highschool, and eventually go to the Olympics one day. Zarbano has set a few goals for himself, one of them was to become one of the top 5 shooters in the state as a freshman. Another one of his high school goals is to become a state champion. “Archery is a fun time and you get to meet new people.” Zarbano said. Coach Williams also mentioned goals for Jordan, “My goals for Jordan is to help the team reach and surpass its all time high team score. I would also like to see him reach his potential of placing at state.”
