The commons was filled with competitive enthusiasm last Saturday, Nov. 14, as 11 teams competed to see who knew the most trivia.

People from the community came to the AHS cafeteria to take part in the music department’s third annual Trivia Night.

First place went to the E=MC Hammers, who won gift cards to Hy-Vee. The second-place team was the Smarties, and they won free movie tickets to the Atlantic Fridley Movie Theatre. The Clueless Amigos came in third, winning 6-inch subway sandwiches.

Choir Director Jennifer Gaesser said that the trivia night was a success. There were 10 student helpers in total, and everyone had a great time, said Gaesser. “I just wish there was a bigger crowd,” she said.

The fundraiser collected a total of $947 for the band and choir New York trip scheduled for June 2 – 7 of 2016.
