Boys’ swimming season began on Monday, Nov. 9, with practice in the mornings and after school. Sophomore Damon Miller said that practice has gone well so far. The new swimmers have been practicing their technique, and the returning swimmers have been getting back into shape.

Miller said that they need to get used to being in the water again and just get back in the feel of things. The boys team didn’t graduate any seniors last year, so they have all of their returning swimmers and have also added a couple new swimmers.

“I want to be top five in state,” Miller said. Miller hopes to knock off five seconds from his 200-meter freestyle. He also hopes that the Trojans can improve their relay teams. The boys’ first swim meet will be on Dec. 5 at Boone High School.
