Last Tuesday, Sept. 3, the girls’ volleyball team played the Glenwood Rams. In the first game, the Trojans fell to the Rams 13-25. The Rams then won the second and third games, 22-10 and 25-14.

According to Quik Stats, the team had 16 kills and 1 ace.

Senior Skye Thompson said, “We had some big hits and blocks. We still have things to work on, but we played okay for our first game.” Thompson also said the team stayed positive for the most part throughout the game.

Head coach Emma Walker said, “We not only played a very tough team, but we played a team that had played eight matches before playing us. They had a chance to work out all of their kinks, and played very well against us. We really found out what we need to work on, and are going to make some changes. Despite the score, I am so proud of the effort my girls put out.”

On Saturday, Sept. 12, the Trojan Tournament will be held at home starting at 9:00 a.m.
