Trojann Volleyball Team Falls short to Class 4-A Opponent
by Anthony Robinson
The Trojann volleyball team fell short to the Abraham Lincoln Lynx Thursday night at Atlantic High School in a non-conference game. The Lynx defeated the Trojanns 3 games to 1.
The first game was a seesaw battle. Neither team had a lead larger than 4 points. The Trojanns were able to come out on top 25-22.
In game 2 the teams battled to a 16-16 tie before the Lynx jumped out to a 23-17 lead. AL was able to hold on and win the game 25-19.
In game 3 the Trojanns were never able to gain momentum. The Lynx led the entire game, cruising to a 25-17 win.
In game 4, the Lynx defeated the Trojanns 25-19 to close out the match 3 games to 1.
Senior libero Kristen Schuler commented on the team’s performance. “We fought really hard, but tonight they were the better team. We just couldn’t keep up with them.”
The Trojanns travel to Council Bluffs next Tuesday, October 5, to take on Lewis Central in a Hawkeye 10 conference matchup.

I am commenting on the pictures of and the article on the volleyball game. I enjoyed them. I especially liked the “title” given to each picture, the names of the players or people, and the explanation of the play. Very interesting.
Since I am not able to attend many games, I must say it was the next best thing to being there.
