Here at Atlantic High School, students, teachers, and parents are preparing for prom on Saturday, April 11. With the major event hitting home in only two weeks, most girls have their prom clothes and necessities picked out. This article will walk you through different ways to approach prom financially, from a $140 weekend to a $28,000 weekend.

Let’s start with the dress. We found two extremes:

Amazon has a range of dresses for under $50.  Maybe THIS aqua strapless lace dress is right for you.

At the other end of the spectrum, Dress Goddess out New York makes  THIS $14,000 silver diamond studded gown.

Now onto the shoes. Here are two extremes:

Zappos offers THESE mint Madden Girl heels for just $39.95, and FREE shipping.

Another choice are THESE Vienna Minimalisa boots for a whopping $4,500

How are you going to get to prom? Here are two different options:

Drive your own vehicle if you want a cheap, casual way to prom.

Looking to blow money? You could ride THIS helicopter to prom for only $390!

Of course you have to get your nails done. But there are two choices:

Walmart has THIS variety of do-it-yourself nail colors for just $4.97

Or you could take A $50 trip to American Nails in Omaha for a full set manicure.

How are you going to do your hair? Here are some different choices:

Anyone could wear their hair down for a nice, cheap option.

Or you could get THIS $1000 haircut from THE Rosano Ferretti!

Whether you want to go to all natural, or with makeup, you have an option:

Doing your own make-up with mom’s supplies is another free option to prepare.

THIS C-Suite option is a $250 way to get your prom make-up done.

One thing that most couples get for prom is a corsage. Though the corsage is optional, here are some options:

Dhgate.com offers multiple types of corsages from $5.95.

At the “FTD” you can spend an entire $65 on a rose corsage.

If you are into wearing flashy jewelry, here are a few options:

A necklace and ring combo from Walmart would only cost you about $17.

The same necklace and ring combo from Jareds would run you about $7,900.

With prom approaching, keep these ideas in mind as you plan your spending!
