The Glenwood Rams played the Denison Monarchs in our very own AHS gym last night for the third round of districts. The Monarchs are this year’s Hawkeye 10 Conference champs, which caused for them to have a lot confidence for post-season play; but that confidence didn’t help them in the end as Glenwood defeated Denison and brought home the win. The final score of the game was 54-49.

The low key Cinderella Story continues for Glenwood as they came into the post-season with a losing record of 9-12. They first took out a tough and shifty Atlantic team by 1. Then, they proceeded to upset the Harlan Cyclones 58-56. Finally, they miraculously defeated, as stated before, the Hawkeye 10 Conference champs.

Their story isn’t over yet, as they will be the eighth seed in the 2015 Boys State Basketball Tournament representing the Hawkeye 10, and hoping to keep the streak alive when they face the first seed, Williamsburg, in Wells Fargo arena on Tuesday, March 10, at 3:45 pm.
