Freshmen Teams Take on Lynx

Friday night the freshmen girls and boys basketball teams took on the Abraham Lincoln Lynx. The boys won 47-35 and the girls lost.

JV players Scott Leonard and Austin Alexander each played one half in the freshmen game.

Leonard said, “We kept playing and never stopped trying hard throughout the game. That’s one thing we know how to do as a team.” Alexander played in the 1st and 2nd quarters, and Leonard played 2nd and 3rd quarters.

Freshman Mason Goergen said, “We played well, but we could improve on parts of the game. We had our whole team back, so that really helped us out. Our chemistry wasn’t the best because of the two new guys playing with us, but overall it was a good game.”

Tuesday night the Trojans boys traveled to Clarinda to take on the Cardinals, resulting in a win.
