Resume and scholarship application workshop

by Katie Blake

On Dec. 28, Cass County Extension will hold an Application Extravaganza workshop at the Cass County Community Center at 1:30 p.m.

The workshop is open to all high school students looking to further their learning in the areas of organization, resumes, and other valuable information.

The Application Extravaganza workshop will go through gathering and organizing information, as well as finding job opportunities to apply for.  Other topics are: building a resume, 4-H awards, scholarships and letters of recommendation.

“I think applying is the easiest way young people gain recognition and financial assistance,” said Susan Oliver, Cass County Youth Coordinator. “It can seem daunting, but we are going to provide lots of tips and tools to make it easier,” said Oliver.   “Community scholarships and employers can expect to see more prepared articulate youth to choose from.”

There is no cost to attend this workshop.  Anyone can attend, although an RSVP to [email protected] stating you are interested would be appreciated.
