Senior Opinions on Football Season Coming to End

The Atlantic football team has had a lot of changes since the 2013-14 season. The Trojans have one game left against Creston on the 24, and so far Atlantic has a record of 3-5. Friday Oct. 17, the Trojans played the Winterset Huskies and lost 35-13.

Waldstein said that the Trojans have made some big accomplishments this season because they have became a team, learned a lot, and made huge strides over last year. He says his favorite thing about this season is working with the kids. “They are a good group of guys, and of course we have a great coaching staff.”

Senior Tristen Benn said that it is sad knowing that it is his last season that he will ever play. “ This is the last season I will ever play as a Trojan, and thinking about it now, I will miss it a lot.” Benn also said that this season he has made a couple of good plays and accomplished “having fun with my fellow teammates.”

Senior Brody Peterson said that he has worked hard on defense. “I got hurt again, so I couldn’t accomplish as many goals, but I am fifth in 3A for tackles.”

Peterson said the October 10 win over Shenandoah was expected, “but I thought they put in subs pretty soon.”

The 2014-15 season has been a huge improvement from last year, and the Trojans have learned to work as a team and rack up more wins.
