Each year, the junior class tries to out-do the class before them with prom decorations. The key to having better decorations is to have a good theme. Wednesday, during seminar the junior class met and came up with the themes. The final vote takes place Friday, Jan. 17, in the media center all day.
Art teacher and prom coordinator Pat Wiederian wishes the themes to remain a secret more than they have been in the past. She says the themes used to be kept from the seniors until the final vote, and even though many juniors no longer keep it a secret, she wishes they would.
Junior Derek Cook said he likes the prom themes. He also said they are good ideas. Junior Rachelle Wagoner’s input was that she really didn’t mind the themes, but they could have been better. Senior Darrian Schwenke doesn’t know the themes and said he really doesn’t care what there are.
Senior Bailey Walter said she doesn’t really think it would be that big of a deal if the themes were kept a secret, because students are going to find out anyway.
