Atlantic Elementary School Special Education teacher, Peggy Jacobs was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 12, for shoplifting at Wal-Mart. According to the Atlantic News Telegraph, Jacobs was arrested on a charge of 5th degree theft, posted bond, and was released. Jacobs had in her possession $103 worth of merchandise that had not been paid for.
When contacted, Jacobs declined to comment.
At press time, administrators had not yet responded to AHSNeedle’s requests for comments. However, Superintendent Michael Amstein said to KJAN, “At this point the school is conducting their own investigation. No determination in regards to discipline will be made until the schools own investigation is completed.”
