On Wednesday, the Friend to Friend mentoring had a meeting to discuss new mentees and to introduce new mentors. This year Lillie Zablocki, the leader of the group, set a new schedule so the mentors won’t be missing the same period every time they leave. The group will start on October, 28.

The new freshman mentors are Courtney Musgrave, Alyssa Crall, Alexis Brockman, Colin Peterson, McKenna Den Beste, Gabby Jordahl, Marah Bengel, Ashley Freund and Victoria Krogh. New sophomores this year are Ryan Hawkins, Clayton West, Nikkita Vais, Laeni Pelzer, Madison Helvie and Tori Phippen. Also a new junior mentor is Reid Nichols. The returning mentors are Steph Freund, Monica Witzman, EJ VonWeyhe, Tyler Christensen, Brecklyn Carey, Cooper Zablocki, Hannah Jesperson, Isabelle Kesterson, Hannah Nelson, Mark Stinn, Tanner Mauk, Maren McNees, Lydia Joseph, Sarah McCance, Hannah McClean, Leah Tjepkes, Logan Hemphill, Taylor Berns, Sierra Smith, Sara King, Lauren Krogman, Abby Robinson and Logan Holzaphel.

With the mentoring program’s success last year, staff and students are extremely excited. Cooper Zablocki said he is “pumped and full of excitement for this new year.”

Returning mentor Leah Tjepkes has new plans for her mentee this year. “I plan on going through more of homework more than I did last year.”

Sophomore Madison Helvie, a new mentor, said, “I am excited for helping the kids learn stuff that they didn’t know about.”
