Fall Play Underway

By Laeni Pelzer

On Tuesday, Aug. 27 the cast list was posted for this years play, “Nevermind How is Happened, But How Did it End?” Since then the cast has been practicing their set almost every night after school. The schedule for each week is posted outside Mr. Smiths door. Practices are never longer than 2 hours and do not go past 9 oclock.

The time the cast rehearses depends on which scene or act they are in. The stage manager is required to be there every practice but the crew does not have to be there until practices are closer to the opening night.

When asked how she thought play practice was going, Sophomore Isabel Kesterson said, “We are getting a lot of work done, I think we will be able to pull through and put on a good show.”

Senior Jessica Askeland said, “I think it is good, I wish we had more time”

All of the cast members were required to memorize lines by Oct., 1. However so far there has been no punishment for unmemorized lines.

The opening night will be Friday, Oct. 31 then Nov. 1st and Nov. 2nd.

When asked about his first year acting in the school play, Freshman Max Elwood said, “It reminds me of Prairie Fire.”

Junior Mark Stinn said, “We have run into a lot more conflicts with stuff,” when asked how this year differed from previous years.
