AHS students have a chance to visit Drake University in Des Monies for a one day Leadership Camp on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Head Football Coach Nick Ross received an email about the camp and decided it would be a great idea to take students to the camp to build more leaders in our school.
He initially approached the football players at the end of practice. Ross said if anyone was interested in going to the leadership camp to let him know; he had room for 10 players. Softball Coach Terry Hinzmann will also be taking 10 people to the camp.
Student will depart from the school at 6:30 a.m. to leave for Des Moines. The camp is all-day, but students will be back in time for practices.
Ross said he is expecting the camp to make students better leaders and have an impact on Atlantic High School.
