In honor of Shakespeare’s birthday, the English department is holding a Shakespearean coloring contest. Pictures can be picked up in the library.
To qualify for the contest, make sure you put your name on the back of the colored picture, and turn it in to the library. First place in the contest will get a prize of $15, second place will earn a $5 Walmart gift card, and third will get four quarters. All other participants will get a free sticker.
According to the contests founder, Ms. Huggins, she started the contest because “its another way to allow the kids to feel a sense of ownership about Shakespeare.” She added that for a lot of students, Shakespeare isn’t quite accessible, and that this contest is a way to make it more open to students.
