Boys tennis travel to Carroll for first meet of season

By Blake Meenely

Today Atlantic Trojans will head to Carroll to face the Kuemper Knights for the first tennis meet of the season.  The Trojans beat the Knights 9-0 last year in a shut-out win.  Neither team has ever won two straight dual matches against the other, so the Knights are going to come back with revenge.

Coach Shawn Petersen said, ” I look forward to seeing how the boys play at Carroll vs. a tough Kuemper team — we will need to play well to have success.”

Returning senior and letter-winner Noah Welter will be playing in the number-two spot.  Noah said, ” I think it will be a good match, we will have a good chance at winning, it will come down to doubles.”
