This past Thursday, Feb. 28, Coach Joanne Sandage hosted a Girls Informational Soccer Meeting in the Atlantic High School Media Center. All interested girls were to attend the meeting and pick up informational packets.  Assistant Coach Jordan Newberg and Volunteer Coach Daniel Vargason were also there getting a feel for the new team.

Sandage began by passing out goal sheets and talking about the upcoming season, which begins March 18 (practice time is to be determined.) She encourages all players to start conditioning and get on the field to prepare for the fast approaching season.  “If you haven’t started conditioning, you’re already behind,” Sandage remarks.

Coach Vargason is organizing informal conditioning practices for all girls in need of exercise.  Different days (to be determined) throughout the week, girls are encouraged to meet in the gym immediately after school.  Players will be participating in various soccer conditioning activities: dribbling, running, etc.
